Rabat - Lawyers of Ghalia Bouasria and Abdessalam Ansari stressed, on Sunday in Rabat, the complexity of judicial proceedings in order to bring a lawsuit before the Spanish court to claim redress for damage they suffered because of the publication of false information by the Spanish news agency "Europa Press"

    Bouasria and Ansari have decided to sue "Europa Press" for having reported that they would have been killed during the dismantling of the Gdeim Izik camp, near Laayoune.

    They told a press conference, held in Rabat, that access to the Spanish justice is possible only through a Spanish lawyer who can not, himself, lodge a direct complaint only through a Spanish notary.

    They said that the resort to justice is one of the human rights guaranteed by international Human Rights charters, and that justice is universal.

    They added that the news published by “Europa Press” in not based on any facts, which constitutes a clear violation of journalism's ethics.
